Ladderbox investment and Worldwide Launch!
Thanks to our new investment partners, the contract has finally been signed, the ink is dry and we've even been to Las Vegas!
Las Vegas National Hardware Show May 4th-6th
The Ladderbox team represented our product at the biggest tool and hardware show in the US of A, possibly the world. All eyes were on us to demonstrate our revolutionary way of working safely and comfortably on all types of steps and Ladders using our unique and patented Ladderbox.
This was a crucial product launch and we were gambling on forward thinking suppliers to recognise how the Ladderbox is an innovative and much needed invention for both the domestic DIYer and Tradesman alike.
The feedback and response was very positive and we are now in the process of taking orders from some very big names.

The New Breaka-Light
Finding the domestic fusebox in the dark...
The Problem...
The fusebox is often located in a dark location, you only really need to access it when the power trips or fails for some reason and this is often in darkness. If you are organised then you sometimes have access to a flashlight, but life is not perfect!
The Ideal SAFE Situation
Some kind of lightsource near to the control box would be a great solution, as it is visible and illuminates the fuses so that you can tell what has occured and how to fix it. This also means that you can locate it if you are unfamiliar with its location.
Breaka-Light
The Breaka-Light is designed just for that purpose, built in to new controller boxes or retro fitted on to exsiting models, the Breaka-Light either fits in to a spare fuse slot or attaches to the top of the casing.

The Ideal SAFE Situation
Keep your ladders propped to a recognised and legally required "One out and Four up" measurement. This is a building site required health and safety aspect that EVERYONE should follow.
To keep the Ladder in this safe situation requires training and constant vigilance however, are you sure that the ladder is correct and stable?
Our Solution...LaddaLevel
The Laddalevel does just that by informing you when your ladder is at this crucial measurement.
If the Ladder gets jogged, slips out of key (eg; when doing heavy drilling) or is set up unsafely, then this handy device will also sound an alarm, warning anyone before they are about to climb it.

With Dragons' Den, Fri 20th November BBC1
Because the Dragons loved us so much and wanted to test to see if we really were professional tradesmen and not just a comedy duo, we were invited to take part in renovating a community centre for children in Mottingham, London.
It was a great experience and a good cause and our love and support go out to all the people that were involved in the project. It was great to see the final outcome as well.

We've got a great deal with a good investor!
That's right! We have just signed the contract for the worldwide distribution of Ladderbox and licensing rights to bring our great product to homes and tradesmen all over the world. The manufacturing process on the MKII LadderBox is underway, with the Ladderbox appearing in shops across the UK this year.
"...they provided one of the most hilarious, comedic turns ever seen in the Den."
Dragons' Den 2008The Dragons are rarely wrong but we took their advice (not neccessarily their judgement!) and have proved that with perserverance and belief in your product and yourselves you can achieve what you set out to do.
We would like to thank the Dragons and the BBC for their continued interest in our product and ourselves. We knew we could do it in the end!

Securing Patents/Trademarks
We would also like to thank our Patent and Trademark attorneys Atkinson- Wheller, whose advice, action and encouragement meant that we managed to secure the patent on the unique Ladderbox system that enables it to fit all of the different types of steps and ladders currently in production. This meant that we could then secure patents worldwide for licensing and distribution rights, effectively creating a unique product.

Besides getting us the patent secured, they also enabled us to trademark the new Ladderbox logo that was designed and branded by Phil Greeno of Greeno-Design. This trademark allows us to carry a '®' and identifies the word 'Ladderbox' as registered. We definitely recommend their services for any inventor that needs advice and action on securing their product against competitors.
Branding, Logo and Marketing.
When we first invented Ladderbox, we tried to build our own website and design the logo and branding of the product. We soon realised that we needed a bit more of a professional image for people to take us seriously.
Greeno-Design has been with us from the outset and created the original logo, the "Ladderbox man".This can be seen on the first Dragons' Den episode. We decided to completely re-brand with the newer version of the Ladderbox 'Mark II'.
We would like to thank Phil for his patience, talent and quick response to last minute requests!
The Tooling, Manufacture, Shipping and Team
The journey to market has been a rough road but we finally feel that we have a great team in place to bring the product to where it deserves to be. Another credit is due to China Quotes that secured tooling, distribution and further marketing advice and a belief in the Ladderbox that resulted in their investment in our product to push things further.
We are certainly looking forward to seeing the Ladderbox hit the market across the UK as well as the rest of the world.
